We are a small kennel and will only have the occasional litter.  As a rule of thumb, we generally try to plan our breedings for whelp dates between October and March.  We feel this gives our puppies the best edge at having the exposure and maturity when testing in the German system.

Our goal is to provide versatile, sociable companions for the foot hunter and family. We put careful thought into breeding to produce the best quality puppies possible.

 

It is also our belief that tested dogs receive the attention and training they deserve, and we aim to place our puppies in hunting homes that will test in either the DKV or NAVHDA. This helps the new owner by developing the dog into its full potential, and also helps provide us with objective feedback on the success of the breeding.

In addition to the benefits above, the bond established between the dog and owner through the training and testing process fulfills an essential relationship between them both.

 

Hügel-Hafen puppies are $2000 for either male or female. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Deposits of $500 are required in order to secure a puppy, but will be returned if the litter does not produce the desired gender. We reserve the right to retain breeder's choice of pup. We do not reserve puppies based on color.

Puppies will not be released until 8-9 weeks old as required in the German system, and we believe this is in the best interests of the puppy's social development.
