Anna is from our "A" litter and is a passionate, noble female with a lot of substance and highly desirable conformation. She is a powerful, stable dog with a lot of grit, and passed her Solms and VGP tests in the same weekend, earning Prize 1’s in both at the age of 24 months. She was awarded the top scoring Derby Dog of 2017. Anna’s big spacious search has awarded her two 4h’s and puts many birds in our game bags, a testament to her high drive/never-give-up desire. At the water, she confidently searches and brings back game with perfect delivery.
We trained Anna through her VGP test, and she qualified for the prestigious 2020 Dr. Kleeman Zuchtausleseprüfung (breeding selection test). She was unfortunately unable to compete due to the test’s cancellation, but while in Germany she was the winner of the adult female class (V1) in the Schleswig-Holstein DK Club Zuchtschau (breed show) out of 17 females. Most recently, she was awarded V1 in the Deutsch-Kurzhaar Group of North America’s 2021 Annual Meeting Zuchtschau.
At the Zuchtschau in Germany, the Judge’s comments were as follows: “A very beautiful, harmonious, dark brown dog with an appealing female head. Very well-set curtain, croup good and pronounced fore chest. Chest depth correct. Very nice underline, correct in the gait front and rear. She shows herself undaunted and solid. She has a lot of nobility and charisma.”
Anna is an excellent, loyal hunting companion with a wonderful temperament. She has outstanding bloodlines and has produced very good males and females from her first litter in 2019.
