We had only a single pup for our "D" Litter, but he arrived full of vigor and is a striking black and white male. Duke has an excellent temperament and at a young age showed outstanding passion, cooperation, and success in the field and water.

Anna vom Hügel-Hafen
Anna is from our "A" litter and is a passionate, noble female with a lot of substance and highly desirable conformation. She is a powerful, stable dog with a lot of grit, and passed her Solms and VGP tests in the same weekend, earning Prize 1’s in both at the age of 24 months. She was awarded the top scoring Derby Dog of 2017. Anna’s big spacious search has awarded her two 4h’s and puts many birds in our game bags, a testament to her high drive/never-give-up desire. At the water, she confidently searches and brings back game with perfect delivery.
We trained Anna through her VGP test, and she qualified for the prestigious 2020 Dr. Kleeman Zuchtausleseprüfung (breeding selection test). She was unfortunately unable to compete due to the test’s cancellation, but while in Germany she was the winner of the adult female class (V1) in the Schleswig-Holstein DK Club Zuchtschau (breed show) out of 17 females. Most recently, she was awarded V1 in the Deutsch-Kurzhaar Group of North America’s 2021 Annual Meeting Zuchtschau.
At the Zuchtschau in Germany, the Judge’s comments were as follows: “A very beautiful, harmonious, dark brown dog with an appealing female head. Very well-set curtain, croup good and pronounced fore chest. Chest depth correct. Very nice underline, correct in the gait front and rear. She shows herself undaunted and solid. She has a lot of nobility and charisma.”
Anna is an excellent, loyal hunting companion with a wonderful temperament. She has outstanding bloodlines and has produced very good males and females from her first litter in 2019. She is approximately 60% Hege-Haus blood, with well-known names in her pedigree such as Quickstep, Jogurt, Kastor, and Nougat vom Hege-Haus. On her paternal side there is Pöttsiepen, and Asseburg.
Gentleman von Baden
Gentleman is an elegant, substantial and very powerful male with a lot of nobility and a very nice coat. "The light gray male of medium breed (64 cm) has excellent bone strength, an expressive black male head, beautiful ears, a dry neck, an ideal back line, a correct underline and chest depth and a very good forechest with absolutely correct gait." The form value V1 has been awarded to him twice.
Gentleman shows impressive performances in the field, forest and water. He has mainly hunted for small game, where he works with tireless will to find. In the field, he shows long-range searches with great drive and a high nose, his manners on game are impressive. He has proven his enormous passion for water and his excellent qualities as a retriever on numerous duck hunts. He is intense on predatory game.
Gentleman (call name 'Jack') has a very friendly nature, is affectionate and absolutely compatible with other dogs. He lives as a full-time working dog and family member, and was raised with his litter brother, other dogs and small children in the house. In addition to his hunting qualities, he can also hold up very well in everyday life. He is strong-willed yet has a wonderful temperament, a perfect companion.
He comes from a very homogeneous, powerful, and shapely litter and proven bloodlines. Through his grandfathers Tobias KS vom Hege-Haus and Oliver KS Pöttmes, he combines the best Hege-Haus and Pöttmes blood with the best Theelshof and Rothenuffeln blood. His mother Arrabiata KS von Baden and his grandmother Blaulicht KS Contiomagus are tried and tested dogs of high form and enormous performance.
